The Manager of Respiratory Care will have oversight and responsibility for the day-to-day management of the TriStar Frankfort Regional Medical Center Respiratory Therapy Department. This includes, but is not limited to, training, education, quality assurance, quality control, maintaining adequate supplies and equipment, assisting in staffing and budgetary matters, scheduling, time keeping, and evaluation and discipline of staff.

What you will do in this role:

• Provide effective leadership to the department, service, or program with the partnership of the director.
• Complete staff competency assessment and performance management process to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee patient care on the unit to assure patient safety and patient and physician satisfaction.
• Serve as a staff resource for any issue related to patient care, including procedures, medication administration, Cardio-Pulmonary, Level II Nursery, and Sleep lab concerns.
• Serve as liaison to the Medical and Nursing Staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director and Administrative Director of Respiratory Services.
• Monitor daily operations and initiate corrective action as necessary.
• Manage supply and labor expenses within budgeted targets.
• Actively participate in recruitment of employees for approved openings.
• Support and participate in the performance management process. Use the process to communicate, educate, and set performance expectations.
• Ensure that ethical behavior is followed in patient care, treatment, services, and in all business practices.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of Approved Respiratory program required
• Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Current Kentucky Bard of Respiratory Care (KBRC) license in good standing and/or National Board for Respiratory Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC RR) required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required.
• 6 years broad base experience in the field required.
• 2 years of related leadership experience required.
