Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Convenience Store & Food Manager to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage food service operations, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Your leadership will drive sales, optimize inventory, and foster a positive team environment. Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall management of the convenience store and food service sections, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Supervise staff including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to promote a motivated and skilled workforce.
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock purchasing, merchandising, stocking, and inventory control to minimize waste and maximize sales.
  • Implement effective pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to boost sales and customer engagement.
  • Manage cash handling procedures, POS systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and store financials with accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, sanitation standards, and store policies at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a welcoming store environment.
  • Coordinate shift schedules, supervise cashiering activities, and oversee store cleanliness to uphold a professional appearance.
  • Utilize marketing strategies to attract new customers while retaining loyal patrons through community engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics regularly to identify growth opportunities and implement corrective actions as needed.

Skills

  • Strong leadership skills with proven management experience in retail or grocery environments.
  • Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping tools.
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
  • Experience in supervising staff through training & development programs; adept at employee orientation and interviewing candidates.
  • Skilled in cash handling procedures, payroll processing, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques including marketing strategies for increased foot traffic and sales growth.
  • Strong time management skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
