Daikin Applied is seeking an Senior Engineering Program Manager In this critical role, he or she will lead activities within the Engineering Program Management Department focused on Product Platform development. Additionally, they will execute strategic initiatives and programs to drive improvements in speed of innovation and Engineering effectiveness and productivity that will achieve Daikin's Product Roadmaps and profitability goals. This position provides Technical, Organizational, and Strategic Program Leadership. This position leverages Managerial Leadership, Engineering Leadership, Program Management, and Project Management skills and competencies to ensure Product Development goals and objectives are successfully achieved that lead to successfully executing SBU Platform business strategy. This position works very closely with Product and Engineering Leadership to define Product Strategy roadmaps. All levels of Engineering Program/Project management are tasked with delivering Engineering Programs, Projects, and Initiatives within prescribed scope, time and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through department leadership. What you will do:
- Lead Product Development ( NPI/NPD ) teams and collaborates with Senior Business Unit level and multiple functions to and define, develop, and deploy strategic initiative and/or product roadmaps that maximize the value of the business and profitability of new products within a Product Platform Lead Product Development teams and collaborates with Senior Business Unit level and multiple functions to and define, develop, and deploy strategic initiative and/or product roadmaps that maximize the value of the business and profitability of new products within a Product Platform
- Work closely with business leaders to plan future project implementation schedules, define and projects/programs, manage the portfolio of projects/programs, and provides input on overall strategy
- Define, maintain, and monitor program and project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Focus efforts to meet the Platform strategic goals and program's specific tactical goals
- Ensure functional commitments are achieved, strong understanding of Product Development Engineering deliverables within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parameters. Understand Key Engineering Product Requirements and Deliverables: PVSR, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R
- Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parameters
- Successfully manage the relationship with key stakeholders
- Provide a centralized, single point of contact for the programs and projects they manage
- Track industry trends, relevant legislation, and competitor activities at a high level
- Validate financial forecasts and provides ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures
- Resolve problems in assigned programs using innovative solutions and interface with others in the company, report and escalate to executive management as needed
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities as appropriate, identify and resolve conflicts, manage project dependencies and constraints, and develop contingency plans where required
- Prepare and present reports periodically on the status of assigned programs and projects
Minimum Qualifications:
- STEM Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 6-8 Years of Experience (Including 4+ years of people leadership experience) in Engineering Program/Project Management, Engineering Department Management
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Substantial HVAC/Industrial Engineering experience
- PMP Certification

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,800 - $188, % bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
