We currently have an open table for an experienced/established groomer at a 5 star shop We provide essential resources including scheduling, billing, shampoo, conditioner, a grooming tub, and a grooming table.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs
• Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained
• Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, recommending appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals when necessary
• Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming procedures, aftercare instructions, and any health concerns observed during grooming
• Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, administering medications, or basic veterinary support if needed
• Support team members in kennel duties, pet sitting, or other animal care responsibilities to ensure a high level of service quality

Requirements

• Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of different coat types and breed standards
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is highly valued
• Skilled in dog handling, animal restraint, and animal care practices to ensure safety for pets and staff
• Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as large dogs or equipment comfortably and safely
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners and team members
• Previous experience working with animals in veterinary technician or assistant roles is a plus
• Strong animal handling skills complemented by kennel experience or pet sitting background are desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $50.00 per hour
