Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Brewer/Production Manager to conduct and oversee day-to-day brewing, carbonation, and packaging operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, dynamic production environment and is passionate about creating consistently awesome drinks. While working alongside the owner, you will maintain operational efficiency and ensure our products meet the highest standards for taste, safety, and quality. Candidates must be able to work independently, exhibit patience while troubleshooting problems, and have excellent communication skills.

You will be running our small scale brewing, carbonation and bottling equipment in the manufacturing space. This will include learning how to be use the equipment for the functionality of the production line. You will be the technical point person for the equipment, carbonation, and bottling. You will also conduct pilot batch testing with the owner to determine scale-up of recipes and to create replicable processes for full scale production. YOU MUST BE EXPERIENCED USING BREWING AND CARBONATION EQUIPMENT.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production of brewed and carbonated NA products.
• Manage brewing, carbonation, and bottling processes.
• Help develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
• Maintain quality assurance standards, including flavor consistency, carbonation levels, and packaging integrity.
• Work with the owner to schedule production runs to meet demand forecasts while minimizing waste.
• Operate and maintain brewing, carbonation, and packaging equipment.
• Train and oversee packaging staff.
• Assist owner in maintaining accurate inventory of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and sanitation standards (HACCP, GMPs, FDA regulations).
• Troubleshoot production issues and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with R&D on new flavor development and pilot production runs.
• Help to report production metrics (yields, efficiency, downtime) to owner.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, continuous improvement, and innovation in the area of N/A beverages.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience in brewing or a related role within the beverage manufacturing industry - 3+ years required.
• Experience using CIP procedures, HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on production equipment including pumps, filtration system, bottling system and brite tank.
• 3+ years experience working with brewing and/or carbonation equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for moderate periods of time.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment where things are always changing and new challenges are constantly presenting themselves.
