Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Engineering QA Lead to lead, develop and ensure our customers experience reliable and robust products, service and solutions. As the lead of the quality team, you will be experienced in Software Validation methodologies, automation frameworks, and can increase our validation coverage efficiently and effectively. We are looking for a motivated, results-oriented, quality focused engineer who loves to find issues, break our products in ways no one can imagine and ensure that our customers remain ecstatic with our products. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that weavix can grow as fast as possible, while keeping the software as sleek, useable and refined as possible.

What We're Looking For
We are seeking a driven and strategic individual focused on building a robust Software Quality Assurance platform. Day-to-day responsibilities will include developing our automation framework, building out our validation strategy, and leading a team of QA engineers who will ensure that we don't regress quality on our existing features, that our users experience exceptional service, that new features are developed flawlessly, and we catch bugs faster than ever . The SWQA Lead will be proficient in using test automation tools to provide us with high confidence in every software update we deliver.

Objectives Of This Role

  • Maintain, manage and improve our existing validation test suite.
  • Build out our black-box and white-box validation strategy.
  • Create integration guidelines and plans in preparation for our regular software builds.
  • Plan, in advance, our validation strategy for each new feature or product.
  • Contribute to the engineering discussion and have your opinion and experience contribute to developing reliable and creative features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve our existing test automation framework.
  • Lead a team of validation engineers, ensuring they are efficient and effective.
  • Build trust and confidence in our deliveries and products.
  • Proactively find issues before our customers do.
  • Present progress, strategy, findings and data that demonstrate how our quality is improving.
  • You will be reporting directly to the SVP Engineering.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, providing guidance, strategy and a plan to execute from.
  • Proven problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • A strong desire to find issues and problems before anyone else does.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or at least five years of relevant quality assurance work experience.
  • Experience as a validation engineer working on automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with wireless communications, mobile devices, UI interfaces, audio and acoustic quality, battery performance, mesh networking.
  • An understanding of Android OS, OTA, and cloud services
  • An understanding of hardware, schematics, and low level software.
