Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Position Purpose
To meet or exceed the expectations of our clients, each and every time we are of service to them. To respond quickly and proactively to challenges, in order to facilitate a quick and positive solution. To unselfishly perform any job related task with appositive attitude and a high degree of accuracy. To help fellow team members in your department as well as other departments when they may need it. To build strong working relationships with our present client base.
Tasks
- Plan, develop, or implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
- Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
- Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
- Organizing requests and facilitate open action items and provide timely notifications or communication
- Supervise internal resources to execute daily objectives and requests effectively
- facilitate the execution of both wholesale and ecommerce fulfillment operations
- Facilitate and supervise inventory and cycle count processes
- Provide accurate and timely communication of data for KPI management objectives and communication with the customer
- Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
- Schedule or monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
- Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
- Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
- Implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.
- Track and trace goods while they are in route to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary.
- Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
- Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
- Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Years of Experience: 5 - 7 Years of progressive supervisory experience in Freight Forwarding Warehousing and/or warehouse fulfillment operations
Inventory and production planning experience
Experience with all requisite compliance and regulatory requirements
Willing to work variable schedule, including overtime, weekends and holidays
Hazmat certification a plus
Education: Industry related degree and/or certification
Knowledge

Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
