Seeking a Grade Survey Technician with surveying, grade control, and construction layout experience. This role requires expertise in 3D modeling software, precision surveying equipment, and field construction processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout project phases.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 per year + company vehicle

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain accurate 3D models using Agtek softwareCreate digital terrain models (DTMs) and surface models from field dataGenerate cut/fill reports and earthwork calculationsCoordinate model updates with project changes and field conditionsPerform precise grade checking throughout construction phasesVerify elevation accuracy and adherence to project specificationsSet and maintain construction hubs and reference pointsConduct final grade inspections and documentationSchedule and oversee proof roll operationsCoordinate with contractors and inspectors for quality control testingUse GPS rover systems for accurate curb and gutter line layoutEstablish construction control points and benchmarksProvide real-time field support and problem resolutionConduct topographic and boundary surveysPerform construction staking and as-built surveysOperate total stations, GPS equipment, and levelsProcess and analyze survey data for accuracy and completenessMaintain survey equipment calibration and carePrepare daily field reports and progress documentationCreate as-built drawings and record drawingsMaintain accurate project files and survey recordsCoordinate with project managers and design teamsPerform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field, OR Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant field experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in construction surveying and grade controlProficiency in Agtek 3D modeling software (required)Experience with GPS/GNSS rover systems and total stationsFamiliarity with construction methods, specifications, and engineering plansExperience with Civil 3D, Topcon, or Trimble software (a plus)Background in heavy civil construction projectsProfessional surveyor license or technician certification (a plus)Valid driver's license with clean driving recordAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsCapable of walking on uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 poundsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and perform precise manual tasksProfessionalism, confidentiality, and strong communication skills
