Job Summary
The Associate Project Manager is a developmental role positioned above a Project Coordinator and below a Project Manager, designed for individuals actively training to become a Project Manager. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects while learning advanced project management practices. The Associate PM works closely with Project Managers and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while gaining exposure to strategic decision-making and leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers in organizing and managing projects from initiation through completion.
  • Support development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Track project progress, prepare status reports, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting notes, compliance records, and change orders.
  • Participate in risk assessments and learn mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between team members, vendors, and clients under supervision.
  • Learn and apply project management best practices, preparing for future promotion to Project Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination or similar role.
  • Familiarity with telecom or construction industry preferred.
  • CAPM or similar entry-level project management certification is a plus.
Career Path
This position serves as a steppingstone toward Project Manager, offering mentorship and hands-on experience to prepare for full project leadership responsibilities.
