Responsibilities

  • Program PLC-based systems across multiple platforms.
  • Programming using ladder logic.
  • Advance programming experience with AB/Rockwell software using compact/control Logix platform, PLCS using Studio Designer 5000/RSLOGIX 500.
  • Beckhoff controls programming with TWINCAT 2 & 3 and is familiar with SIEMENS C++/C#/Python/Visual Studio/SQL database programming.
  • Designing industrial HMI/OIT Panels with panel view plus OI panels using Factory Talk View Studio (SE and ME) Windows CE, basic networking, experience with Wonderware, Indusoft, and 3rd party HMI programs.
  • Integrating many different types of hardware devices and I/O systems (sensors, actuators, pneumatics, servos/motion controls, robotics, lasers, printers, scanners, and many other types of devices).
  • Proficient in designing electrical control systems using AutoCAD/SolidWorks electrical, pneumatic diagrams, enclosure/panel layouts, power, logic, and safety circuits.
  • Startup support, system commissioning, and system troubleshooting.
  • Assist with the technical writing of the scope of work, operating and user guides.
  • Field wire, panel wire and conduit to meet UL/NEC standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Automation Controls/Electronics Engineering, or 5 years of automation industrial environment experience or a 2-year technical degree with 10 years of experience.
  • PLC programming experience in structured text and ladder logic experience in designing software controls for many types of industrial automated systems.
  • Experience with the techniques required for interfacing, communicating, controlling, and troubleshooting automated machinery.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC systems, VFD'S and motors.
  • Good interpersonal skills, confident, team player with co-workers and management.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
