What You'll Do
The Electrical Engineering team at Symbotic develops electrical designs using state-of-the-art Industrial Control System hardware for integration into Symbotic's unique platform.  Our designs focus on modularity and standardization to support our complex Industrial Control Systems. Our Engineers work from day one concept design all the way through system installation and commissioning.

In This Role

  • Work with and be a leading force to the existing electrical team on new product development designs, existing product configurations and obsolescence issues.
  • Develop the electrical distribution structure for Symbotic systems (Single line diagram).
  • Participate in the development of the control architecture.
  • Coordinate needs with other disciplines (mechanics, vision).
  • Be willing to travel at least 20%,

What You'll Need

  • BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 Years of relevant experience in the field of electrical design for industrial automation.
  • Experience developing with Autocad Electrical, ePlan EEC, EEC1, Cogineer or API, WSCAD Project Wizard or AI module, AutoCAD VBA.
  • Familiarity with common controls hardware components used in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience integrating high-volume manufacturing equipment

Other Considerations

  • Up to 20% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
