Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in New Orleans. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in managing engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, and overseeing the execution of various engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure adherence to them.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, construction, and procurement, to ensure project objectives are met.
2. Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and risk assessments.
- Oversee the design and implementation of engineering solutions.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and status updates to management and clients.
- Foster a collaborative environment to ensure project success.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards and regulations.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
5. Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
- Allocate resources efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering project management.
- Strong technical knowledge in engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Understanding of local regulations and industry standards.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
