Production Associate – Level I (Disassembly, Cleaning & Inspection)

Schedule:
Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Rate:
$23.50/hour

Position Summary

The Production Associate – Level I is responsible for operating machines and performing hands-on production activities in accordance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. This position focuses on the
teardown, cleaning, and inspection of high-horsepower diesel engines (60L and 78L)
to prepare components for the next stage in production. The role involves rotating through multiple workstations within disassembly and inspection areas, using hand and power tools, and occasionally operating cranes to lift heavy parts.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

  • Immediately stop work and report any major injury hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
  • Comply with all HSE standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Identify, correct, and report hazards within your control.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by watching out for team members and participating in HSE training.
  • Minimize environmental impact by following sustainable work practices.

Quality

  • Follow all standard work instructions, quality procedures, and process documentation (SPC, poka-yoke, visual standards).
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on components.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials.
  • Raise issues promptly to minimize cost and quality risks.

Production & Maintenance

  • Work efficiently to meet or exceed daily production targets.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; perform routine housekeeping and basic machine maintenance.
  • Support maintenance and repair efforts by identifying equipment issues.
  • Stay flexible and perform other production-related duties as required.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Communicate effectively with team members and support teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and process efficiency.
  • Complete assigned training and development activities.

Education & Certifications

  • Required:
    High school diploma or equivalent.
