Leidos' Digital Modernization Sector currently has an opportunity for a Strategic Planning Analyst to help shape the Sector's strategic direction, implement strategy to action execution initiatives, and drive growth and profitability. Leidos' Digital Modernization Sector provides scaled and secure mission-focused solutions to accelerate our customers' digital transformation objectives. This position will be located at the Leidos headquarters in Reston, Virginia and will report to the Vice President of Strategy and Growth Operations.

This role provides an opportunity to develop elements of Sector and Business Area strategies, lead the research and analysis of market and competitive dynamics, identify and conduct diligence on potential strategic partners and acquisition candidates, and engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives. In addition, this role provides an opportunity to help drive implementation of the strategy through management of strategy to action. This position will be responsible for partnering with other leaders and team members from across the Digital Modernization Sector and the broader enterprise (Corporate Strategy, Office of Technology) to develop, communicate, and help implement strategies to drive profitable growth.

The ideal candidate will have previously served in a business strategy consulting or investment banking role with a top tier firm, or in a corporate strategy, business strategy, finance/operations, or corporate development role with a defense or technology company.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partners with Sector Growth leadership to provide research and analysis to support strategy development, strategic decision-making, and situational awareness
  • Collaborates with Sector line, Growth, Finance, and Technology leadership to support the development and implementation of Sector and BA strategic plans
  • Partners with Corporate Development to assess and evaluate potential targets for strategic partnership and inorganic growth
  • Develops and executes plans for Strategy to Action, ensuring all employees are aware of Sector strategies, align with strategies relevant to their roles, positively contribute to the fulfillment of the strategy, and are energized by the future direction. Develops KPIs to measure progress against metrics.
  • Supports Sector inputs to Corporate Strategy development, and supports corporate events and requests such as strategic advisory group, Leidos Board of Directors meetings, Investor briefings, and CEO presentations

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience. 2+ years with a Masters Degree
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated capability in, and familiarity with, market research and financial analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Skills required: Presentation development (PowerPoint) and financial and quantitative modeling (Excel).

Pay Range:Pay Range $85, $153,925.00
