Long-term Science Education Teacher - Point of Discovery School (PoDS), 1.0 FTE
The Stevens Point Area Public School District is currently seeking a substitute teacher, certified in Science or Broadfield Science Education or has a substitute teacher license. Anticipated dates are December 15, June 5,
Fidelis Consulting Service hires Substitute Teachers for the Stevens Point Area Public School District and you will contact them to begin the employment process.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
The role and responsibility of the Substitute Teacher includes, but not limited to:
- Carrying out necessary daily tasks and responsibilities in place of the Teacher whose absence is being substituted
- Reviewing and implementing lessons prepared by the absent teacher including regular routines and procedures
- Possessing strong classroom management skills
- Engaging students
- Demonstrating a passion for working with students
- Creating a safe and nurturing educational learning environment
- Maintaining a positive, friendly, and respectful demeanor at all times
- Establishing positive relationships
Requirements:
- Associates, Bachelors Degree or higher required for Substitute Teachers
- Classroom experience preferred but not required
- Tuberculosis Skin Test Questionnaire completed during your exam or Tuberculosis Skin Test with negative results
- Basic Physical
- Criminal History Background Check - both State and Federal
- Excellent Communication Skills
- WI Substitute Permit (can be obtained after applying). Don't have a Substitute Permit? NO PROBLEM Our local representatives are here to guide you.
