Job Summary

BTR Construction is a pre-engineered metal builder erector. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Supervisor to lead and supervise construction projects. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate daily operations on-site, manage teams of skilled tradespeople, ensure adherence to safety standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Your expertise in construction management, project scheduling, and site supervision will drive the successful execution of complex construction initiatives. Duties

  • Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications
  • Supervise and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers to meet project milestones
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction tasks accurately
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA
  • Manage project schedules using construction management software like Primavera P6 or Primavera; adjust plans as needed to stay on track
  • Monitor project budgets and control costs through effective resource management and procurement strategies
  • Review contracts, change orders, and scope of work to ensure clarity and compliance
  • Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid for accurate cost forecasting and resource allocation
  • Conduct site inspections using tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing or other relevant instruments for quality assurance
  • Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, incident logs, safety records, and progress updates
  • Enforce safety protocols rigorously to promote a safe working environment for all personnel on-site

Requirements

  • Proven experience in PEMP construction site supervision with a strong background in managing large-scale projects
  • Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction drawings
  • Hands-on experience with quality control procedures and safety standards including OSHA regulations
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation
  • Knowledge of contracts management processes including scope review and change order administration
  • Construction site experience across various phases of building projects—residential, commercial or infrastructure preferred

*Must be able to get into military bases and high security sites

*Must be able to work nights and weekends (when required)

*Must be able to work out of town (compensation provided)

*Must have dependable transportation.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 – 72 per week
