Role Summary:

Flywheel Energy is seeking a seasoned Production Engineer to lead optimization efforts across our Midcon asset. This role is ideal for a results-driven engineer who thrives on solving complex production challenges, improving operational efficiency, and collaborating closely with field

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead production optimization and well performance for assigned wells, including planning, forecasting, and intervention strategies.
  • Analyze daily production data to identify underperformance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide rapid-response engineering support to field operations and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Drive failure reduction initiatives through root cause analysis and reliability engineering.
  • Manage LOE and workover costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and performance improvement.
  • Develop and implement artificial lift strategies across the asset lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with A&D teams to optimize new well performance and artificial lift planning.
  • Oversee chemical treatment and flow assurance programs.
  • Ensure mechanical integrity of downhole equipment to extend wellbore and lift system life.
  • Lead project execution from budgeting and design to field handover and post-appraisal.
  • Maintain strong field presence (~25% travel) to support operations and vendor relationships.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience: 7–15 years in production/petroleum engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in workover, slickline, gas lift, HPGL, and GAPL/PAGL systems.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Communication: Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with WellView or similar software.
  • Experience in cost modeling, systems optimization, and RCFA.
  • Knowledge of Midcon/Anadarko Basin (SCOOP/STACK).
