Role snapshot

At HCC, you'll lead plant maintenance execution and planning. You'll confirm planned job packages, set labor and parts requirements, schedule preventive and predictive tasks, and dispatch the right mechanic to the right job. You'll guide daily safety huddles and weekly conversations about equipment, processes, and expansion, all while ensuring work stays safe, economical, and on time.

What you'll be responsible for
  • Developing a highly skilled, engaged maintenance team focused on quality and cost control.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and reinforcing safety expectations daily.
  • Assuring work is completed efficiently, economically, and safely.
  • Leading daily safety meetings and weekly equipment/process/expansion reviews.
  • Reviewing planned jobs for completeness; finalizing labor, parts, and priorities.
  • Planning and scheduling preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Assigning mechanics to specific tasks at shift start and throughout the day.
  • Making tactical decisions to keep work as close to schedule as possible.
  • Following up on mechanic suggestions to improve plans and methods.
  • Producing detailed downtime reports to drive proactive maintenance.
  • Helping establish and maintain storeroom practices, shop standards, and CMMS data integrity.
  • Using SAP to create/close work orders, manage equipment data, track inventory, and train mechanics on SAP best practices.
  • Partnering with Operations to deliver outstanding internal customer service.
  • Maintaining on-call availability.
What you need to succeed
  • High School Diploma and 4 years related experience, OR Associate's degree plus 3 years related experience, OR Bachelor's plus 1 year related experience.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts (days/swings/graveyard).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Capability to lift up to 60 lbs.
