Overview

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden (CZBG) is seeking enthusiastic, outgoing individuals ready to create unforgettable experiences for our visitors. As a member of the Visitor Experience Department, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact on hundreds of thousands of guests, both from the Greater Cincinnati area and around the globe. We are looking for Ambassadors anticipating working Fall 2025. The estimated start date for this position will be August 10th. There will be opportunities to continue employment into the Festival of Lights season.

Orientations will be held on a rolling basis.

Key Responsibilities

As a Visitor Experience Ambassador in Arrivals, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable visit. Your duties will include:

• Turnstiles: Greeting and welcoming visitors while managing our turnstiles
• Parking Lots: Ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic in and out of parking lots.
• Ticketing/Membership: Helping guests select the tickets or memberships that best meet their needs.

Requirements

• 16 years of age or older. (Minors will be required to provide a work permit when applicable.)
• Constantly work outdoors in all climates & weather conditions with prolonged stationary positions/traversing at all locations.
• Move, transport or position 35 lbs. unassisted.
• Communicate with the public in a positive, friendly manner.
• Must be trainable on cash handling & maintain proper skill level.

Availability

• This is a seasonal, non-benefitted position with variable hours ranging from 15-40 per week (not to exceed an annual total of 1500 hours).
• Must be available at least 3 days per week, including 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
• Students may initially provide availability for 2 days per week, increasing to 3 days once classes are over.
• Shifts range from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with most shifts falling between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Shifts typically last 5-8 hours.
