Job Description

As a Security Guard - Licensed Government Patrol Unarmed in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a crucial role in helping to create a secure environment at a government-related location by performing unarmed patrols. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols of assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and offering exceptional customer service and communication to all visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for suspicious activities or persons and report findings according to established protocols.
• Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and authorized personnel as needed during routine operations and emergency situations.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and promote a secure environment within the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are present.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
