Job requirements include: · Operating X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body · Positioning patients utilizing immobilization devices · Monitoring, recording and communicating as appropriate, utilizing easy-to-navigate computerized documentation systems · Utilizing knowledge of any age-specific needs of a patient in relation to the performance of duties and responsibilities · Practicing radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff · Following standard precautions using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required · Splinting and strapping patients as needed · Explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns · Assisting with patient registration, insurance verification, and normal daily office operations · Smiling and creating a caring and helpful experience to the patients
