Jit-Ex llc is a local, truck load carrier, based in Memphis, Tn with a terminal in Mt Juliet, Tn. Jit-Ex is family owned and operated. We have a Billing Clerk position available. The candidate we seek must have dispatch or billing experience at a trucking company. Candidates who have experience with McLeod Software will be preferred.

Below is a description of the position responsibilities.

1. New Customer Packets a. Make sure the new customer/broker packets returned to JIT-EX are complete and entered in McLeod . Make sure that billing terms and a credit amount is entered for the new customer.

2. Billing

a. Reply to all billing emails in a timely manner and make sure inbox is current by the end of business.

b. Check the view screen and trip sheet to identify all movements that are delivered.

c. Write order number on BOL and mark it the move ready to bill, notify the driver manager and department manager immediately of any missing paperwork.

d. Make sure POD's match the contracts scanned in.

e. Scan in all POD's

f. Send Originals to Memphis daily from outside terminals.

g. Follow up on missing paperwork and updated rate confirmations.

h. Complete the process of sending out invoices to customers and uploading websites.

i. Investigate orders that have not been invoiced. Recover missing POD's, updated rate confirmations, or whatever is needed to get the shipment invoiced.

j. Handle all special billing according to procedures.

k. Be detailed to make sure JIT-EX is capturing all revenue such as chassis charges, chassis splits, drop trailers, attempts, detention, etc.

3. Customer Service

a. Assist in Customer Service when needed. Will be directed by manager when needed.

b. Enter in loads into McLeod immediately with appropriate Y splits and add to the backhaul board if needed. Make sure driver managers and planners know about any special instructions on the load.

c. Make sure that detention is reported to the customer. Ensure that notes are put into the system and request an updated contract upon the completion of the move. Ensure billing has all the information and updated contracts so that billing can be completed.

4. Phones

a. Answer billing calls and provide customers with the proper information.

b. Assist on any call for operations when needed.

5. Account Receivables

a. Work specified collection customers daily after billing is complete.

b. Making notes in McLeod for all information you collect from calls and emails

c. Send Statements at the beginning of the month

d. The goal is to have daily contact with customers to overall lower the number of invoices going past due

e. Be firm, but to also remember you are talking to JIT-EX customers. Find out what is needed to get the invoices approved and paid.
