Fire Alarm Sales Representative

Div. 36 Pompano Beach, FL 

Summary

Responsible for generating new installation projects for alarm systems through electrical contractors, GCs, and end users, estimating project based on cost of labor, equipment, and materials; Assistance in securing the monitoring/service contract following the installation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Identify, develop, and maintain quality clients within the Fire Alarm market that align with the growth strategy of the business.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain market-specific business plans for growth.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Estimate projects including fixed price service as required for projects ranging from $100k-$1MM+.
  • Ability to build new business associations / relationships, attend industry networking events, and grow market share.
  • Manage projects as needed orders, field issues) and attend job walks and construction meetings as needed.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and/or 5+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior fire alarm or low voltage sales experience is preferred.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
