Part-Time Game Host - The Grove Coffee Shop & Speakeasy.

Location: The Grove Coffee Shop & Speakeasy.

Position: Part-Time Game Host.

Reports To: On-Duty Manager/General Manager.

Position Overview:

The Grove is where great drinks, good company, and memorable nights come together and we're looking for a fun, outgoing Game Host to help keep the energy high and the good times rolling. As a Game Host, you'll lead trivia nights, themed events, and casual group games that bring our guests together. You're the spark that turns a regular night out into something unforgettable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Host and facilitate weekly games, trivia, and entertainment events.
  • Engage and interact with guests to create an upbeat, inclusive, and lively atmosphere.
  • Announce rounds, winners, and prizes clearly and confidently.
  • Work with management to plan, schedule, and promote upcoming game nights or events.
  • Set up and break down game equipment or materials before and after each event.
  • Assist in creating new, themed, or seasonal game concepts to keep experiences fresh.
  • Maintain professionalism and ensure all guests feel welcome and involved.
  • Collaborate with the bar and service staff to ensure smooth event flow and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Energetic, confident, and comfortable speaking in front of groups.
  • Outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think quickly, handle small technical setups (mic/speaker), and keep events moving.
  • Experience in entertainment, hospitality, or public speaking preferred but not required.
  • Must be 18+ and available nights and weekends.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-Time: Typically 3 shifts per week, depending on events and bookings.
  • Evenings and weekends required.
  • Pay: Hourly rate + potential tips.
