Local multi-family property is seeking a candidate to join our team as a Full-Time Property Groundskeeper while providing office support. We are looking for exceptional candidates to learn and grow with our company. We take great pride in our communities and in delivering an exceptional living experience to our residents. Pay is $17.50 per hour. This position is located in Northville, MI.

Essential Functions:

Groundskeeping Duties:

  • Maintain community grounds: mowing, edging, trimming, snow removal, debris/trash pick-up
  • Perform occasional light maintenance: i.e.: painting, and preventative upkeep
  • Prepare vacant homes and lots for occupancy
  • Assist vendors and contractors onsite
  • Support seasonal projects and general cleanliness of the community
Office Support Duties:
  • Assist with answering phones, returning messages, and greeting residents
  • Help prepare community notices, letters, or postings
  • Take service requests from residents and enter them into the system
  • Assist with simple data entry, filing, and maintaining organized office records
Skill Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work alone, be self-motivated, and organized
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Positive teamwork attitude
  • Willing and eager to learn
  • All staff must adhere to company and industry standards, to include:
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines

What You Need:

  • Commitment to learn, work hard and be honest
  • Working knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing and/or electrical.   6+ months experience in any trade preferred
  • Ability to work independently or with other Maintenance Technicians on any and all tasks
  • To be a good steward of the company's equipment, tools, supplies, etc.
  • Demonstrate to our residents that we care deeply about presenting the best community possible
  • To pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and driving record check.
