Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL A or B Delivery Driver to join our team in Lakeland. 100% TOUCH FREIGHT AND MUST HAVE TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE IN ORDER TO APPLY. This position is Monday-friday with shifts starting at 5am typically last between 10-12 hours daily. The pay is as follows

CDL A-$21 HR

CDL B-$20 HR

Being that this position is mostly 12 hour days, you can expect to get at least 20 hours overtime each week.

This job is extremely physical. Driver must be physically able and willing to handle and deliver 500+ individual cases of liquor on a daily basis. Recent case-by-case delivery experience is a must. Food and beverage delivery experience is highly preferred, but recent (within past 2 years) case-by-case delivery will be reviewed. Driver is responsible to safely off-load product at each account by utilizing pallet jack and hand truck and will work with customer to check in product using handheld computer.

Responsibilities

  • Make deliveries to bars, restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, package stores, etc.

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle.

  • Receive payment for goods delivered.

  • Sort merchandise by invoice for delivery.

  • Safe and courteous operation of delivery vehicle at all times.

  • Properly complete all required paperwork daily, including DOT logbook and DVIR report.

  • Come to work neat and clean and properly attired.

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL A or B license is required.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver with a strong understanding of truck driving regulations.
  • Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of route driving and freight handling procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as needed during loading/unloading processes.
