Director, Enterprise Data Management

We are seeking a Director, Enterprise Data Management to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our enterprise data environment. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping data governance, architecture, integrations, and reporting platforms across the organization. You will oversee technologies such as Snowflake, ETL processes, and our Power BI enterprise reporting ecosystem, while partnering closely with Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Actuarial teams to modernize tools, improve accessibility, and align data and analytics roadmaps with business priorities.

This is a full-time hybrid position based at our headquarters in Stevens Point, Wisconsin (in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; remote Wednesday and Friday).

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the enterprise data strategy aligned with corporate objectives and analytics goals.
• Develop and maintain the data platform roadmap, driving modernization and scalability.

Data Governance & Quality

• Build and mature enterprise data governance frameworks, including data quality, metadata management, and standardized definitions.
• Establish KPIs, SLAs, and operational standards for reliability, availability, and security.

Platform Optimization

• Oversee enterprise data architecture and integrations, ensuring cost-effective, high-performance Snowflake usage.
• Drive best practices for data modeling, schema design, automation, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Support and govern the Power BI reporting ecosystem, enabling consistent and scalable development practices.

Integration Strategy

• Direct integration delivery using API-driven patterns, message queues, and event-based architecture.
• Ensure secure, reliable data movement across enterprise systems that supports business workflows.

Leadership & Team Development

• Provide leadership and mentorship to managers overseeing data architecture and enterprise integrations.
• Oversee resource planning, vendor management, budgeting, and project prioritization.
• Foster collaboration across IT, analytics, and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

Innovation & Compliance

• Provide technical guidance for advanced analytics, AI/ML, and predictive capabilities.
• Partner with IT Security to implement data access controls and compliance standards.
• Ensure platforms meet audit, quality, and security requirements.

• 5 - 7 years: Progressive experience in data management
• 5 - 7 years: Leadership experience, with proven ability to guide, develop and mentor high performing teams

• Bachelors or better in Information Technology or related field
