Are you a hands-on, strategic leader with a passion for transforming K-12 dining experiences? We're seeking a Director of Dining Services to join our team of directors, each aligned to their own schools in the district.  You will be leading operations for a premier K-12 district in Jacksonville, FL. This role requires a boots-on-the-ground presence to guide a unionized frontline team, ensure exceptional service delivery, and partner closely with school leadership to support student wellness and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership abilities, financial acumen, and a proactive approach to operational excellence. You'll be responsible for managing budgets, driving performance, and aligning sourcing and service strategies with district goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire our team of up to 50 frontline union associates.
• Drive strategic initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability.
• Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization.
• Own an annual budget and control costs optimally.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Services Technology/Management/Hospitality preferred or equivalent experience.**
• Five plus years of foodservice management experience.
• Strong knowledge of high-volume food production and (catering trends) is preferred.
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
