Sr. AWS Engineer (Full Time, Hybrid in Ashburn, VA)

As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) engineer, join a team of highly skilled and motivated engineers to design, build, and maintain products and services for our client. You'll coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your client's IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions.

Advise on new techniques and help lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and business needs. Broaden your skillset into areas like Cloud architecture and infrastructure, orchestration and automation, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, and threat intelligence while building peace of mind in a critical infrastructure.

Position Requirements: The Sr. AWS Engineer must have:

  • 8+ years of experience designing and deploying complex solutions in AWS including IAM, VPCs, EC2, EKS, ELB, and S3
  • Experience working in government Cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud, MilCloud, or C2S
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with automation for Cloud environments, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
  • Experience with programming languages and practices, including scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in software engineering

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working with other Cloud service providers, including Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
  • Experience with AWS organizations, SCP, Control Tower, and AWS CDK
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, including UNIX or Linux, and Windows
  • Experience with Agile development methods
  • Ability to be a self-motivated team player
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Agile Development, Cloud Systems, or ITIL-related Certifications
  • DoD Top Secret Security Clearance or recently badged at Customs and Border Protection

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110, $150,000.00 per year
