Charlotte, North Carolina, United States Blue Rock Logistics Full time

About Blue Rock Logistics

Blue Rock Logistics is a premier third-party logistics (3PL) provider dedicated to simplifying the complexities of the global supply chain. We pride ourselves on reliability, transparency, and a customer-first approach. With a deep network of carrier partners and a commitment to cutting-edge tracking technology, we ensure that our clients' freight moves efficiently from point A to point B, regardless of the challenges on the road. At Blue Rock, we don't just move boxes; we move businesses forward by building lasting partnerships based on trust and performance.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our core operations team. In this role, you will be the "nerve center" of our daily shipments. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of a load—from the moment a client requests a quote to the final delivery and invoicing. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving on the fly, and can communicate effectively with both truck drivers and corporate executives. Your goal will be to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure our service standards are met every single day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shipment Management: Schedule and monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring all freight stays on schedule.
  • Carrier Relations: Source, vet, and negotiate rates with third-party carriers to ensure we have the capacity to meet client needs while maintaining healthy margins.
  • Problem Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact when issues arise, such as weather delays, mechanical breakdowns, or missed appointments. You must find creative solutions to get the shipment back on track.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Manage all necessary shipping paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOL), Rate Confirmations, and Proof of Delivery (POD) documents. Ensure all carriers meet insurance and safety requirements.
  • Communication: Provide real-time updates to customers regarding their shipment status. You will bridge the gap between the warehouse, the driver, and the client.
  • Data Entry: Maintain accurate records within our Transportation Management System (TMS), ensuring all data regarding lanes, rates, and carrier performance is up to date.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 2–4 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation operations.
  • Education: High School Diploma required; a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and hands-on experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) or Load Boards (like DAT or Truckstop).
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to handle "tough" conversations with carriers while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Multitasking: Proven ability to manage dozens of moving parts at once without losing track of the details.
  • Adaptability: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to work in a high-energy environment where priorities can shift in an instant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4, $4,500.00 per month

Benefits:

  • Dental insurance
  • Flexible schedule
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Vision insurance

Work Location: In person
