Port Richey, Florida, United States EXPRESS LABORATORY Full time $40,000 - $80,000 per year

Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Medical Director, Supervisor and Laboratory Consultant, the Medical

Technologist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) and/or Medical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for having a working

knowledge of all areas of laboratory services provided by Quality Laboratory, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-

analytical processes.

  1. Utilizes computer skills for ordering, accessioning, and resulting quality controls and patient results.

  2. Utilizes pre-analytical skills for phlebotomy, preparing and evaluating specimens.

  3. Follows laboratory protocols for daily instrument preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, quality

controls, and proficiency testing with documentation. Performs patient testing recognizing factors affecting results,

including differences in sex and age.

  1. Advises the supervisor of malfunctioning equipment, maintenance problems, and any unusual situations, occurrences,

conditions, or reactions. Monitors inventory and reports inadequacies to the Lab Manager.

  1. Responds to physicians and hospital staff in a professional manner, remembering that patient care is our first concern.

  2. Completes annual educational requirements, required continuing education, and maintains current licensure.

  3. Performs other duties as assigned.
