Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Service Manager to coach our new, State of the Art service department coming very soon to Colerain. The position will start within an existing location and include manufacturer and leadership training along with daily management duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of automotive service operations with a coaching mindset. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction, managing service staff, and driving the overall performance of the service department. The Automotive Service Manager will oversee daily operations, maintain high-quality standards, and foster a positive work environment by empowering team members to achieve greatness.

Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Supervise and train service technicians and advisors, providing guidance on best practices, company processes and operational standards.
  • Oversee customer interactions, addressing concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies for selling needed services and products to enhance revenue.
  • Coordinate with parts department to ensure timely availability of necessary components for repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performance and goal strategies.
  • Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement within the service department.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance with industry regulations among all staff members while implementing and coaching established processes.

Experience

  • Proven experience in automotive service management or a similar role within a dealership environment. High level Advisors or Lane Managers considered.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive service operations and personnel management/development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team effectively.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service while exceeding operational benchmarks.
