Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Looking for a Nurse Practitioner delivers comprehensive, patient-centered medical care to individuals 17 and up within a family practice setting. This role includes health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. The NP works collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure high-quality care, continuity, and an exceptional patient experience. One day a week candidate will work on site at the med spa administering Botox and Fillers, experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care
- Provide primary and preventive healthcare to patients across the lifespan
- Perform physical exams, routine screenings, and wellness visits.
- Diagnose and manage acute illnesses (e.g., infections, minor injuries).
- Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, Crohn's, diverticulitis, etc.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
- Develop treatment plan
- Prescribe medications and manage medication therapy safely and responsibly .
Patient Education & Communication
- Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modification, and treatment plans.
- Communicate clearly about diagnoses, treatment options, risks/benefits, and follow-up expectations.
- Promote patient autonomy and shared decision-making.
Care Coordination
- Collaborate with specialists, hospitals, pharmacies, and ancillary services to ensure integrated care.
- Provide referrals when appropriate and coordinate follow-up.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
- Maintain compliance with clinic policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and chart audits.
- Stay updated on clinical guidelines and continuing education requirements.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with nurses, medical assistants, front-office staff, and leadership.
- Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Support clinic workflows and help ensure efficient patient flow.
QualificationsRequired
- Valid and active medical license as an MD, DO, NP, or PA-C (state-specific).
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or appropriate specialty track.
- Current DEA registration (if prescribing controlled substances).
- Current BLS/ACLS (as required by clinic)
Preferred
- Experience in primary care or family practice.
- EMR proficiency Epic.
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
- Outpatient family practice clinic setting.
- Typically Monday-Friday
- Requires standing, walking, and performing hands-on patient care tasks.
