Plymouth, Minnesota, United States Prep Network Full time

Jumpstart your sports career with a hands-on Event Operations Internship that puts you at the center of nationwide prep sports events.
What You'll Do

As an Event Operations Intern, you will play a key role in the behind-the-scenes systems that power Prep Network's nationwide events. Acting as an adaptable "Swiss Army knife," you'll jump into real operational work — helping build event schedules, organizing staffing assignments, coordinating facility details, prepping and tracking event shipments, and supporting the workflows that get every tournament weekend ready to launch. You'll gain hands-on experience with event logistics, project management, and cross-functional execution, learning how large-scale sports events run from start to finish.

This role is ideal for someone who wants meaningful, resume-ready experience in sports operations and the opportunity to directly impact hundreds of events across the country.

Who We Are

Prep Network is a sports company that connects high school athletes with college coaches. Through our nine brands, we publish over 4,000 articles each month and actively scout talented athletes across the U.S. We aim to discover and promote promising prospects who aspire to play at the collegiate level.

In addition to our content, Prep Network is the top event operator in the U.S., hosting 200+ tournaments annually. We offer a combination of top-tier competitions and extensive media exposure for attending teams. Our 250+ showcases each year provide a platform for over 10,000+ prospects to compete in front of colleges, scouts, and media outlets.

We're pumped to have been named one of the "Best Places to Work" by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal for four years running, and to land a spot on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies. Prep Network isn't your average sports company—we're all about helping student-athletes succeed and creating an awesome workplace.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the Core Process: Assist in executing and improving Prep Network's event operations systems. Help ensure every event is ready on time, staffed appropriately, and runs efficiently from setup to teardown
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work cross-functionally within Event Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Web Development to keep event details aligned and accurate. Communicate clearly, anticipate needs, and strengthen coordination between departments
  • Execute with Excellence: Take ownership of the details — whether it's updating schedules, tracking inventory, confirming staff, or prepping venues. Accuracy and follow-through are your superpowers
  • Learn, Adapt, and Grow: Absorb the "why" behind the work. Ask questions, document improvements, and develop into a future event operations leader by embracing feedback and continuous learning
