This position directs and manages Lovejoy Downers Grove and South Haven plant maintenance departments, tool room departments, and all EH&S activities cross both sites. Has overall responsibilities for maintaining equipment and infrastructure, meeting all tooling requirements for production, and all EH&S activities to meet the keep Lovejoy employees safe, meet and continuously improve production efficiency targets, meet all requirements of serving our customers, and keeping the facility compliant with government and Timken requirements. Provides direction, development and leadership to the maintenance and tool room leads and the EH&S Analyst.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all associates ensuring emotional, physical, and environmental safety at all times.
• Maintains compliance to all environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations for Lovejoy through a comprehensive annual plan to complete all regular reports and audits at the facility.
• Manages the entire maintenance process, including the SAP maintenance module. Provides and implements recommendations for a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for both facilities.
• Oversees facility infrastructure at both Downers Grove and South Haven and creates long term maintenance plan for major projects within Lovejoy providing input to the annual business planning and capital expenditure recommendations.
• Is active participant in the continuous improvement projects within Lovejoy and works with operations to seek cost reduction opportunities through machine upgrades and layouts.
• Manages EH&S activities as well as the secondary contact for all environmental spills / escapes for the facility.
• Works with corporate EH&S on new projects and initiatives to decrease the environmental footprint of Lovejoy as well as achieve all certification requirements annually.

Technical/Functional Skills

• Strong communication skills, and experience with large projects and handling a budget.
• Experience in either manufacturing maintenance, EH&S, or tooling machining.
• Knowledge and experience with operating/fixing machines or other mechanically inclined positions
• Problem solving skills and knowledge of lean.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required; preferably in business, engineering or related field.
• Eight years of manufacturing experience is required.
• Eight years of supervision/management experience is required.

The pay range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000 annually and is commensurate on experience and education and could pay more or less than the posted range. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the company's short-term incentive program, paid time off, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including, medical, dental and vision. This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data ("CTD") and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
