Position Overview: As a Lodging Attendant at Golden Paws Pet Resort & Spa, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, well-being, and happiness of our guests during their stay at our resort. You will be responsible for daily care routines, interacting with pets while providing exceptional care, and maintaining a clean and safe lodging environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain records of the care provided to each pet including food consumption, elimination breaks, playtimes and delivery of upgraded service packages purchased by owners.
• Prepare meals and feed pets according to Golden Paws and/or owners' instructions
• Clean and sanitize pet suites, facility, and the outdoor areas daily as directed by the weekly/daily checklists and management
• Launder bedding, towels, and leashes daily
• Facilitate owner drop-off and pick-up process by walking the pets between the lobby and lodging areas.
• Preparing diet charts for the animals, feeding them, maintaining food stock required for the animals and removing the leftover and uneaten food after each meal.
• Play and exercise pets according to activity packages purchased by clients
• Clean dirty food bowls
• Use wet vac system to clean and disinfect floors
• Handling and using cleaning chemicals to disinfect throughout department
• Caring for dogs, cats, rabbits & guinea pigs
• Willing/able to learn necessary computer program(s)
• Must be very customer service oriented
• Work closely with manager in charge to handle resort tasks
• Performs body checks on to search for pre-existing conditions and/or injuries during check-in process. Perform full body check again at check-out.
• Must be physically able to secure and handle large dogs
• Record accurate information on the activities and behavior of each pet
• Be available to work weekend and holidays as needed
• Must be open to cross-training in other departments
• Assist Grooming department if necessary by providing baths to pets

Qualifications:

• Passion for dogs and a genuine love for animals.
• Previous experience working with dogs in a professional or volunteer capacity is a plus.
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
• CPR and First Aid certification for dogs (or willingness to obtain).
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 50lbs
