Inventory and Accounting Specialist

Position Overview

Transformer Technology Inc. (TTI) is seeking a passionate, innovative, and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This role will support daily operations, inventory management, and perform minor accounting functions. In this role the individual will collaborate with the production manager and the shop floor to ensure on time delivery of our products. TTI designs and manufactures transformers, inductors, and power supplies for a wide range of industries, including many Fortune 100 companies. We maintain a strong reputation for the quality, reliability, and value of our products.

Key Responsibilities/ duties

The key responsibilities of the Inventory and Accounting Specialist include:

• Responsible for assisting the operations & manufacturing team with variety of technical and administrative tasks.
• Manage record-keeping tasks, including production line inventory and order tracking.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure quality materials at competitive prices.
• Use forecasts, inventory reports, and other data to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Recommend improvements to inventory management processes.
• Assist the Production Manager with implementing company-wide production improvement efforts and standards to identify potential risks, strengthen safety practices, and protect personnel, equipment, and facilities.
• Oversee the storage and organization of materials.
• Collaborate with operations, production, and team members to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.
• Monitor purchase orders and inventory receipts for accuracy and timely delivery.
• Enter invoices into the system to ensure vendors are paid promptly.
• Work with management to track deliveries, resolve back orders, and address missing or delayed products.
• Communicate with management and engineering teams to ensure all orders are accurate and processed efficiently.
• Monitor incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, to ensure all purchase orders are accurate
• Strong math and analytical abilities.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds and reach overhead as needed.

Education & Experience

• Associate degree (or higher) in Business, Math, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. (Required)
• 2+ years in an office assistant, operations, or bookkeeping role is preferred.
• Previous experience in purchasing, planning, or inventory management is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks experience preferred).
• Experience with purchasing or inventory is a plus.

Work Environment:

Office-based, in-person position with occasional warehouse or production floor visits.

• May require lifting light packages or moving inventory up to 15 pounds.

Normal business hours are 8:30AM – 5:00PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
