Position Overview
Company: Industry Services Company, Inc.
Location: Site-based; local travel to customer sites (home most nights).
Employment Type: Full-time |Hourly
What You'll Do
· Lead refractory field execution: direct daily work of craft crews (brick, castable, gunite/shotcrete, ceramic fiber, anchoring, tear-out) while enforcing safety and quality.
· Coordinate soft crafts: plan and sequence scaffold, insulation, and coatings activities with refractory work to keep the critical path clear.
· Own look-ahead planning: create and maintain 2–3 week look-aheads; update daily plan-of-the-day (POD), manpower plans, and materials needs.
· Assist with estimating & takeoffs: perform site walk-downs, quantify labor and materials (brick counts, castable volumes, anchors, fiber), request vendor quotes, and build simple estimate summaries for PM/Estimator review.
· Track costs & productivity: capture daily quantities and hours by cost code; flag variances early; support change-order notes and T&M tickets.
· Schedule at a basic level: build/update simple Gantt or task lists (Excel or MS Project); identify constraints, milestones, and outage/turnaround windows.
· Communicate relentlessly: lead toolbox talks, coordinate permits/LOTO/Confined Space, run turnover meetings, and align with customer reps and inspectors.
· Hands-on support when needed (tools, tear-out, equipment setup, dry-out support).
What We're Looking For
· 3–5+ years field leadership in refractory or closely related industrial work.

· Basic Excel skills: filters, sorting, SUM/AVERAGE, simple formulas, daily quantity logs, timesheets, and cost-tracking worksheets.
· Basic scheduling: build/maintain task lists or basic Gantt schedules; update look-ahead plans; familiarity with MS Project or Excel-based schedules.
