Job Summary

The Arbor Greene Community Development District in Tampa, Florida, seeks a Part-Time Community Maintenance Employee to work approximately 20-25 hours/wk. Although most shifts will be during the week from 8am-2pm, there are expectations that some evenings and weekends will be worked.

Responsibilities and Duties

Specific duties include, but are not limited to; any and all necessary maintenance of the Community Center (painting, plumbing, minor electrical, drywall repairs, pressure washing, etc.), grounds maintenance of 8 HarTru clay tennis courts, community parks, sidewalks, streets, 2 pools, and all other common areas. Maintenance Employees report to the Maintenance Coordinator.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in general facility maintenance in a community setting, apartment complex, hotel, etc. where a variety of maintenance competencies are needed.
  • Driving Operations: Ability to safely drive a utility cart while being conscious of one's surroundings, as it is imperative that there are no incidents involving damage to company property or with other vehicles/persons within the community. Any form of mechanical operations and a clean driving record is preferred.
  • Detail Oriented: Experience working in an environment where attention to detail in meeting, or exceeding, the standards has a direct impact on the satisfaction of the end user, in this case, home owners.
  • Organization and Time Management Skills: Ability to stay focused on specific duties with the expectation to complete all necessary tasks/work orders assigned during the shift.
  • Work Conditions: The working environment includes, but is not limited to; the outdoor conditions of Florida year round, controlled environments, the use of ladders, the use of heavy-duty equipment and machinery including utility carts, power tools, pressure washer, pump/motor systems, etc. Must be physically conditioned to work extended periods of time in Florida's outdoor weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.).
