Photographer/Videographer Intern – Smiling Dog Entertainment & Occasions and Stems
Overview:
We're looking for two creative and motivated Photographer/Videographer Interns to help capture and create dynamic marketing visuals for both Smiling Dog Entertainment and Occasions and Stems. This role is perfect for a photography, videography, or media students who want to build a professional portfolio while working with two fun, creative event brands.
Smiling Dog Entertainment specializes in photo booth experiences, guest books, event rentals, and entertainment services for weddings, corporate, and social events.
Occasions and Stems designs high-end event décor, floral styling, and statement installations for weddings and celebrations.
You'll help both companies capture the magic of events and the behind-the-scenes process that makes them possible.
Responsibilities
- Capture photo and video content at live events, styled shoots, and behind-the-scenes sessions
- Stage products and décor for marketing imagery (photo booths, props, floral installations, rentals, etc.)
- Edit and organize media for use on websites, social media, and marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with social media and design interns to develop cohesive content
- Maintain organized photo/video libraries and assist with digital asset management
- Contribute creative ideas for brand storytelling through visual content
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and basic lighting setups
- Experience with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro (or comparable software)
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and storytelling through visuals
- Comfortable working in fast-paced event environments (some evenings/weekends possible)
- Reliable transportation to events and shoots around Central Iowa
Preferred Majors/Fields of Study
- Photography, Videography, Digital Media, Marketing, or Visual Communications

Location & Schedule

These are internships. We are looking for college students requiring internship hours to satisfy coursework or graduation requirements or who are interested in building their portfolios for future employment.
We're looking for students who can commit 5-15 hours per week for one semester.
Job Types: Temporary, Internship
Pay: $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
