Job Title: Cast Room Technician

As a Cast Room Technician, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment. What you'll do

  • Assist in preparing the cast room for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and sterile.
  • Support physicians during casting and splinting procedures, demonstrating proficiency in aseptic techniques.
  • Conduct patient intake processes, gathering essential medical history and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Utilize your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures and care instructions.
  • Apply ICD coding accurately for patient records, ensuring compliance with medical standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the cast room, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Foster positive patient interactions by providing compassionate service and addressing any concerns or questions.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in orthopaedics is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare teams
  • Familiarity with anatomy knowledge to assist in casting procedures confidently.
  • Proven skills in patient service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
