DieselUSA Group, a Jasper Holdings company, is seeking a Local Sales Representative for our Louisville, Kentucky branch. As a Local Sales Representative, you will prospect and develop new accounts and expand sales in a well-established territory comprised of Kentucky and southern Indiana.

Local Sales Representative Requirements

  • 2 years of business to business outside sales experience preferred
  • Demonstrated commercial selling skills, account development and selling programs/promotions
  • Organizational skills including effective time management and prioritizing competing demands to succeed in a semi-autonomous environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use and learn software programs
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Automotive industry knowledge and background selling parts and service work is preferred
  • Ability and desire to learn more about the industry, new products, services and advancing technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers as well as our internal team
  • A basic level of mechanical aptitude to understand the operational nature of diesel engine components, fuel systems, charge air and exhaust (emissions) systems.

Local Sales Representative Responsibilities

  • Efficiently managing your territory to achieve the maximum sales goals and increase profitability
  • Identifying and exploring new potential opportunities
  • Confidence to make entry and execute cold calls
  • Executing marketing strategy and promoting our products 
  • Ability to create marketing strategies and programs
  • Maintaining sales call reports
  • Ability to travel and a potential for 1-2 overnight stays potentially to attend Annual or Semi-Annual Sales Meetings
  • Supporting and communicating well with our internal team to ensure customer satisfaction
