Job Description
Under the supervision of Administrative Analyst 3, and in support of the Rapid Response Network, the duties required of this position will be highly analytical in nature to support the Rapid Response team's charge of root cause analysis and supporting other business units in the improvements to the way we conduct Medicaid business and serve our members the best way possible.'
Job Description/ Duties
- This position involves the regular collection, documentation, analysis, and updating of data models, business requirements, tracking systems, process flows, trends, and similar information needed to capture, present, and improve business unit operations.
- The team uses this work to support operational improvements across the Division.
- The role includes researching and analyzing policies, business practices, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement, propose potential solutions, and support process enhancements.
- All improvements should minimize disruption to business operations while helping the Division meet State and Federal oversight requirements, increase efficiency, solve problems, and enhance overall workflow.
- This position also requires coordination with internal stakeholders-and occasionally external partners-in business areas affected by operational changes.
- Additionally, the role involves researching and learning existing data collection methods, business processes, and systems to document workflows, support or lead training efforts, identify configuration needs, and recommend appropriate improvements.
- The position also includes exploring new approaches to solving operational challenges.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree and have 1+ years' experience in an analyst type role OR substitute degree with 4+ years' work experience in an analyst role.
- Experience writing data models, process flows, and business requirements is preferred, Visio proficiency is a plus.
- Candidates without noted experience should demonstrate comparable work experience that is transferable to the role of a business analyst and may be asked to submit a sample.
- Experience working on and communicating with fast-paced, dynamic teams is a plus.
- The ability to assess and meet scheduled demands and stay abreast of changing priorities is essential.
- The ideal candidate will be analytical, confident, well-spoken, adaptable, and will be able to thrive in an ever-changing environment.
Work Hours
- 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Lunch hour (unpaid): 1 hr
