Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of homes, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface wiping to ensure a pristine environment.
• Chore Services consist of heavy household chores which are necessary to maintain the functional use of the home or provide a clean, sanitary and safe environment.
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens with care.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly.
• Washing floors, windows and walls
• Moving or removing large household furnishings and heavy appliances in order to provide safe access and egress (i.e. a way out) for the participant, the direct service worker and/or emergency personnel. This may include addressing items that are stored outside of the home on porches or in front of doorways;
• Securing household fixtures and items, including tacking down loose rugs and flooring, in order to or prevent falls or injuries; and
• Execute floor care procedures including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to keep floors looking their best.
• Seasonal installation and removal of window air conditioners
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences.
• Cleaning attics, basements or common living space to remove fire hazards as determined necessary by the Service Coordinator;
• Dumpster rental and refuse disposal;
• Sorting, packing and/or removal of the participant's belongings; and
• Remediation and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Follow safety protocols related to janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment to promote a safe working environment.
• Assist with custodial tasks in other areas of the home or property as required, including trash removal and organizing clutter.
• Support the overall upkeep of the residence by performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in residential cleaning or custodial work is preferred; hotel or commercial cleaning experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and floor care methods.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet cleaners, buffers, and laundry machines effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Basic cooking skills are desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects safely, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results consistently.

Pay: $ $26.21 per hour
