Our esteemed client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Senior Manager with a strong background in the Consumer Products industry to join their growing team. This remote position is ideal for a tax professional who excels in strategic planning, compliance, and client service, and who brings deep expertise in sectors such as wholesale, distribution, e-commerce, and manufacturing. The Tax Senior Manager will lead complex engagements, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and play a critical role in the development and mentorship of junior staff. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-paced, industry-focused tax practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage tax engagements for clients in the Consumer Products sector
  • Review complex federal, state, and local income tax filings for C-corporations and other business entities
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services related to:
  • Inventory accounting
  • Cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • State and local tax (SALT) nexus
  • Multi-state and e-commerce compliance
  • Conduct in-depth tax research and deliver actionable recommendations to client
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of staff and senior tax accountants
  • Ensure the timely and high-quality completion of tax engagements
  • Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
  • Partner with firm leadership to support business development within the Consumer Products vertical
  • Stay current with tax legislation, regulations, and industry trends affecting Consumer Products client

Qualifications:
:

  • CPA license required or in progress
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive tax experience, including significant exposure to the Consumer Products industry
  • Expertise in corporate taxation and experience working with C-corporations
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. tax code and multi-state tax issues
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with tax software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite
