This role provides strategic oversight and accountability for all direct mail and related fundraising efforts and is the primary liaison between the ministry and its marketing agency. Working in close partnership with the Digital Marketing Director, this role ensures that donor communications across print and digital channels are cohesive, mission-centered, and strategically aligned. In addition to managing agency and vendor relationships, the Director plays a key role in developing and refining donor products, offers, and campaigns that inspire generosity and strengthen donor engagement. The Director is responsible for holding the agency and vendors accountable to their pro forma commitments, ensuring campaigns are executed on time, within budget, and with measurable results that meet performance requirements. This position combines strategic leadership, fiscal stewardship, and creative collaboration to advance the ministry's mission through effective direct response fundraising and product innovation.

The ideal candidate has a strong Christian faith and will enjoy playing a vital role in supporting our global Christian ministry dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel to the Jew first, growing the Messianic movement, and engaging the Church concerning Israel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of direct mail and other direct response fundraising campaigns in partnership with the organization's marketing agency.
  • Lead donor product development, including conceptualizing and refining giving offers, premiums, and campaign themes that align with ministry objectives and resonate with donors.
  • Hold the marketing agency and related vendors accountable to pro forma projections and key performance indicators, ensuring cost efficiency, timeliness, and ROI goals are met.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Director to ensure integrated messaging, coordinated campaign calendars, and consistent donor experiences across all channels.
  • Review and approve campaign budgets, creative assets, schedules, and invoices for accuracy and compliance with approved plans.
  • Analyze campaign results, agency reports, and donor data to assess performance and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of donor segmentation, data integrity, and list management to support precise targeting and campaign effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align messaging, priorities, and stewardship practices as well as external revenue generating vendors to keep our campaigns aligned and our networks informed.
  • Stay current on direct response and donor marketing trends, testing methodologies, and production techniques to inform strategic decisions.
