Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job
Embark on a transformative journey as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Corvallis, Oregon, where your expertise in nuclear medicine imaging and radiopharmaceutical handling becomes a vital catalyst for patient care. This specialty role puts you at the forefront of diagnostic precision and therapeutic imaging, enabling physicians to see beyond the ordinary and tailor treatments with confidence. In the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, where the pace blends scholarly energy with natural beauty, you'll contribute to meaningful outcomes while enjoying a community that values curiosity, collaboration, and compassion. Picture mornings spent preparing patients and protocols with meticulous care, and afternoons immersed in the region's beauty—from verdant river canyons to the foothills of the Cascade Range. Oregon's diverse landscapes invite exploration, from lush forests to elegant vineyard rows, and Corvallis itself offers a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere with a thriving arts scene, excellent dining, and easy access to outdoor adventures. This opportunity begins December 5, 2025, for a multi-week assignment with the potential for extension, giving you a stable platform to grow while you experience the state's rich culture and scenery.
Corvallis combines small-city charm with access to bigger-city amenities, creating an ideal backdrop for professional focus and personal fulfillment. The location benefits are abundant: a safe, walkable city feel, a strong sense of community, and proximity to Oregon State University's intellectual ecosystem, which fosters ongoing learning and collaboration. Enjoy outdoor recreation across nearby parks and trails, weekend trips to the coast, or a short drive to Portland's culinary and cultural offerings. For caregivers who value variety, there's also the appeal of potential assignments across diverse sites within the U.S., expanding your professional network and sharpening your skills in different imaging environments while maintaining ties to a core, supportive team.
In this role, you will perform and optimize nuclear medicine imaging studies, including planar and tomographic imaging, SPECT and PET/CT techniques as applicable, under established protocols. You'll prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals with scrupulous attention to safety, dosage, and patient comfort; perform quality control on imaging equipment, calibrate dose delivery devices, and ensure compliance with ALARA principles and regulatory standards. You'll collaborate with radiologists, oncologists, and technologists to review indications, optimize imaging protocols, and interpret image quality to guide clinical decision-making. Your responsibilities will include patient education, dose optimization, radiation safety, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and meticulous documentation. This role also offers a robust path for growth: you'll have access to ongoing training, opportunities to expand your expertise in advanced imaging modalities, and potential pathways toward leadership, certification, or cross-disciplinary responsibilities that broaden your scope within the nuclear medicine team.
The compensation package is competitive and designed to recognize your expertise. Weekly pay ranges between $2,826 and $2,935, with guaranteed hours of 40 per week, providing you with financial stability as you plan your weeks and personal life. In addition, you'll have the chance to secure a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and extension opportunities that align with your career goals and lifestyle preferences. You'll also receive comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team: 24/7 assistance while you're traveling with the company, plus continuous clinical and logistical support to ensure you can deliver top-tier care without distraction. This means you'll have access to resources for housing, travel arrangements, licensure coordination, and real-time problem-solving, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences and advancing your professional practice.
The company's values center on empowering staff, fostering rapid career advancement, and nurturing a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive work culture. You'll be part of a network that believes in your potential and champions mentorship, constructive feedback, and professional development. The environment promotes open communication, shared knowledge, and opportunities to lead initiatives that improve patient outcomes and imaging workflows. You'll find coworkers who value integrity, innovation, and compassionate care, and you'll be encouraged to take ownership of your projects, while relying on a team that has your back when challenges arise.
If you're ready to elevate your Nuclear Medicine Technologist career in a setting that blends professional rigor with scenic Oregon living, we invite you to apply. This role promises meaningful impact, competitive compensation, and a pathway to extend your assignment while you expand your expertise across modalities and settings. Step into a position where your skillset meets purpose, in a location that celebrates outdoor beauty and intellectual vitality. Join a company that prioritizes your growth, supports your ambitions, and values the essential contributions you bring to patients and the healthcare team. Take the next step today and help shape the future of nuclear medicine imaging in Corvallis and beyond.
