AP/AR Specialist

Overview:

The AP/AR Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the company's accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments, and efficient collections. This position works closely with accounting, operations, and vendors/customers to maintain smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports; match, batch, and code invoices for approval and payment
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues in a timely manner
  • Manage weekly and monthly payment runs via ACH, wire, and check
  • Record and post incoming payments, deposits, and adjustments to customer accounts
  • Generate and send customer invoices; monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations of AP and AR subledgers to the general ledger
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve billing or payment issues
  • Prepare reports on cash receipts, aging, and payables for management review
  • Support audits by providing documentation and detailed transaction reports as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
