Job Title: Part Time Clinician
Department: Counseling
Reports To: Licensed Clinician Supervisor
FLSA Status:
Remote Status: Remote capacity is available
Salary Range: Starting at $50/hour
Position Summary: The Part Time Clinician provides strengths-based, trauma-informed, targeted case management
services, rehabilitative skill development, therapy, treatment coordination, collaboration with the treatment
team or other providers, advocacy, and linkage to community resources as identified by client need, and
collaboration with the other members of the client's support network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to

- Provides direct mental health services to agency-approved and contracted clientele.
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
- Client centered advocacy: Assess clients' needs and level of care, provide referrals and resources, and
collateral involvement with families and other professionals and with the treatment team.
- Ensures that services provided to clients are culturally sensitive and, in the client's, primary language;
ensures that religious and ethnic issues pertinent to the client's condition and plan of care is
incorporated into the psychosocial assessment and treatment plan.
- Documentation: Includes various assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries
etc. in the electronic health record, releases of information, and other needed documents for
individual clients. All documentation to be legible, timely, and expressed concisely and clearly.
- Meeting attendance: Attend clinical meetings as well as educational workshops, and agency
committees when requested.
- Exhibits a flexible and proactive approach to changes in the workplace.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the organization's values and mission statement.
- Demonstrates reliability and professionalism.
- Utilizes formal and informal educational opportunities to increase clinical competence.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to work at all locations as needed to meet patient care needs.
- Must be willing and able to work all business hours including evenings and weekends.

Education/Experience: Master's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Degree should be in Social Work (ASW) or Marriage and Family Therapy (AMFT) or Clinical Professional
Counselor (APCC) required.
- One-year post-master's experience in a clinical setting and/or prior experience in a community-based
organization or social services setting.
Language Ability: Read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal
documents. Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies or members of the business
community. Write speeches and articles for publication.
- Bilingual in Spanish
Mathematical Ability: Add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10's and 100's. Perform
these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with
nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and
concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
- Effective computer skills in work processing, online communication, navigation of electronic databases
and website resources.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Registration required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Clinical
Social Worker (ASW) or Associate Marriage Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional
Counselor (APCC).
