About the Role
Join a highly skilled team as Phlebotomist to support adult outpatient and clinic lab services. This role is ideal for experienced phlebotomists with strong technical skills and a commitment to patient safety. You will collect, process, and handle specimens according to strict clinical protocols while collaborating with physicians and lab staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and follow the daily phlebotomy schedule in the EMR.
- Collect blood specimens based on physician orders and test requirements.
- Perform proper labeling, storage, and processing of specimens.
- Ensure compliance with patient identification, hygiene, and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and lab teams for order clarification.
- Inventory and restock phlebotomy supplies; perform weekly expiration checks.
- Assist processing bench as needed for coverage during breaks or end-of-day duties.
- Follow all CLSI-recommended order of blood draws and special collection procedures, including pediatric and finger stick collections.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience.
- Certifications: CA CPT, BLS.
- HSD/GED or equivalent.
- Local candidates only (within 50-minute commute).
- Preferred: Epic EMR experience.

- Equipment Used: Vacutainer tubes, holders, blood culture bottles
- Special Skills: Proper venipuncture techniques, blood culture collection, pediatric phlebotomy
Compensation & Benefits
- Overtime: $40.40/hr (1.3x after 40 hours/week)
- Double Time: $52.83/hr (1.7x after 12 hours/day)
- Holiday Pay: $46.62/hr (1.5x)
- Orientation: 12 hours
